Available in single boxes or as part of a weekly subscription, there are currently five options available, each designed by US bartenders: Botanical Beach, Pinup Sailor Daiquiri, Southern-style Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and Date Nite. Customers can also purchase cocktail tools to make their drink if needed. The company is the brainchild of Scott Goldman and his brothers Curt and Ryan, who plan to take the brand to San Francisco in the spring. Goldman says that the company hopes to “demystify” the process of creating cocktails, by providing instructions on measurements and how to shake or stir the drinks. Boxes are made using both premium and craft brands, and costs include cash tips for the bartender who designed the cocktail. Goldman told the Chicago Tribune: “We’re living in a golden age of cocktails. As much as the consumer has shown an appreciation for well-made drinks, most of us are also relatively inexperienced and intimidated when it comes to making great cocktails at home. With such a great culinary scene here and vibrant cocktail market, it made sense that Chicago would be the next city on our radar. Chicago people have more square footage in their homes compared to New York and they host more parties.
