The new release commemorates the company’s 5th anniversary and is made with 100% blue agave sustainably sourced from the Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco. Distilled and aged in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo, Mexico, the Extra Añejo was rested for five years in single use American oak barrels that previously contained award-winning vintages of Merlot and Cabernet wines. Amber in colour, the tequila is said to have aromas of cognac and oak, bold agave sweetness and a fine port finish. The bottle has a special laser-etched label with a design featuring the rain symbol of Tlaloc, Aztec god of rain and fertility, intended to refer to the spirit’s cultural roots. With 50% ABV Dulce Vida’s Extra Añejo has an RRP of USD$169.00 per bottle. www.dulcevidaspirits.com/products/
